THE STORY
The Heuer Super Autavia, introduced in 1958, was a dashboard clock designed for motorcars, powerboats, and airplanes. It was notable for being the first dashboard chronograph to combine a time-of-day clock with a 30-minute stopwatch, providing both standard timekeeping and precise event timing in a single instrument. The Super Autavia holds a special place in Heuer’s history as a testament to the brand’s commitment to precision and innovation in motorsports.

Our example is the Mark 2, which has a slightly thicker case and coated in Heuer’s proprietary “Profectus” material which is a darker chrome. The dial is especially attractive showing the time and chronograph function clearly.
